the Tennis Company Review
K-Swiss doesn't want to run an ongoing
mega-marketing effort that is superior to Nike and
Adidas. It just wants to make high quality shoes.
The company has been has been doing it since 1966!
For 2002, the K-Swiss Ultrascendor low is one of
the best all-around tennis shoes available. It
combines the light, light weight of a "game
day" shoe with traditional K-Swiss strengths
like support, comfort and durability.
The Ultrascendor is loaded with innovative
technology and great features. There's a special
insole to prevent the kind of in-shoe movement
that causes blisters and hot spots. K-Swiss'
patented Cushion-Board Construction and
Shock-Spring Midsole work collectively to provide
excellent support and cushioning. The slick lacing
system and totally cool oval laces cinch up
quickly and stay tight.
For longevity, the high wear areas of the shoe are
specially reinforced or protected with a variety
of proprietary materials. The
Ultrascendor has top notch build quality and its
expected durability is superior to anything other
than another K-Swiss model.
With all that is good about the Ultrascendor, the
biggest performance breakthrough is the lightness
of the shoe. It is as light and quick as anything
else you can wear. It gives away nothing to the
high-end "game day" shoes that your
tennis heroes are paid to use on the pro tour.
For the majority of players who pay for shoes
instead of being paid to wear them, the K-Swiss
Ultrascendor low will give you the most
performance and durability you can get for your
money.
