SALES PITCH:
A stable, lightweight shoe for the casual recreational player.
OUR TAKE:
If you took the Stabilor SLS, one of K-Swiss’ premium performance shoes, and put it on a diet, you’d end up with the Approach. The two models have the same design scheme, but the Approach is more than 2 ounces lighter due to less hefty stability and cushioning features. That makes it an attractive option for players who don’t want the demands of a heavy shoe. Plus, despite the drop in weight, weartesters praised the shoe’s support and comfort. The mesh upper is breathable and the cushioning in the heel softens the blow when your foot hits the court. Simply put, this shoe proves that less is more.
The Approach tennis shoe offers high performance and durability. Durability is achieved with an Aosta II rubber outsole combined with a high abrasion toe wrap. Traction comes from a tennis specific, multi-surface herringbone tread pattern. Cushioning is provided by Shock Spring technology in the heel. Stability is achieved with a skeletal support cage and heel stabilizing clip.
