Wilson [K] Blade 98 Tennis Racquet

Wilson K Factor [K] Blade 98 Tennis Racquet

Tennis Magazine Review

SALES PITCH
For aggressive all-court players looking for flexible, control-oriented frames. The Tour version is used by Novak Djokovic.

HOW IT TESTED
Even though the [K] Blade weighs just over 11 ounces, it’s not as head light as a typical player’s frame. With more weight toward the head, it feels heftier and sturdier than the scale would indicate. It also gives the racquet plenty of pop on ground strokes and volleys, but you still have to bring your own power supply. Luckily, it’s easy to swing, and the fl exibility gives the [K] Blade a soft feel at impact. Even with its dense string pattern, generating spin is not a problem. Many reviewers found the [K] Blade great for hitting a wide array of shots. Stability is not an issue at the baseline, but some testers wished it were more secure on volleys. The [K] Blade is offered in a Tour version (Djokovic’s model, which was not available for this review) with a smaller head, more weight and stiffness, and a more head-light balance, which could be a better op-tion for players who frequent the net.

BOTTOM LINE
The [K] Blade has touch and control for advanced players who like a frame that’s a little lighter and more flexible.

The most versatile choice in the [K] Blade family, with the control expected in today's top player racquets.  The [K] Blade 98 has been designed to deliver a solid feel for accurate and dependable shot making from anywhere on the court.
